Quality Inspection & Production Follow-up

Last updated: 2026-10-25

Agree what “acceptable” means before production begins.

Define the inspection scope

A useful inspection starts with a written specification, approved sample, quantity, packaging requirements and a defect classification. Identify which dimensions, functions, markings and documents need checking. Inspection work, laboratory testing and certification are different services and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Checks at the right stage

  • Sample review: compare the sample with the specification and record approved changes.
  • Production follow-up: agree the milestones and the evidence needed to assess progress.
  • Pre-shipment inspection: check the agreed sample of completed goods, packaging and relevant records before release.
  • Loading supervision: where separately commissioned, record loading, carton condition and container information.

What AQL sampling means

An acceptance sampling plan uses a defined lot size, inspection level, sample size and acceptance limits. “AQL 2.5” alone is not a complete inspection instruction. Sampling can identify issues in the sample inspected; it is not a guarantee that every unit is defect-free or that a product meets all legal requirements.

Reports and corrective action

The agreed report should identify the product, batch, inspection date, checks completed, findings and supporting photos or measurements. If issues are found, possible next steps include supplier rework, reinspection or another remedy agreed by the contracting parties. Shipment release authority and additional costs should be confirmed in advance.

Regulatory testing

Tell us the destination market and product use before ordering. Where testing or certification is required, the scope and qualified laboratory must be agreed separately. HEHI does not present a general visual inspection as a safety certificate.
